Running Time: 65 minutes

While a group of idiots are putting together a haunted house in time for
Halloween, their leader, Sebastian (played by Travis Indovina),
accidentally summons a destructive god named The Destroyer (Dave White).
The bickering between Teen Ape (played by Teen Ape himself) and The Choach
(A.J. Stabone) and the pee contest between Morgana (Meredith Host) and The
Meistro (Matt Meister) will just have to wait as Sebastian and company
must flee the haunted house to escape the wrath of The Destroyer. Thinking
they can hold out through the night at a local bowling alley, the gang of
losers is forced into a final showdown with The Destroyer, who just
happens to make mincemeat out of anyone who gets in his way.
Don’t let the plot description fool you;
Carnage For The Destroyer is actually a
competently made indie horror comedy. Chris Seaver, the director/writer
behind Mulva: Zombie Ass Kicker!
and Filthy McNasty
is responsible for this freaky flick. The digital camera work is well
done, the scenes are lit properly, and thankfully, the sound is decent. Of
course the combination of found sets and bad costumes reveal the penniless
production but viewers familiar with the cheapie splatter genre won’t be
bothered. The plot is paper thin but the quick pace and short running time
make up for it. I was hoping for better gore effects but imagination (The
Destroyer beheads someone with their own intestines) counts a great deal
in my book.
Carnage For The Destroyer
is as offensive as a film can get. The filthy dialogue has tons of racial
slurs and all the characters are a stereotype of some kind. The political
incorrectness is clearly meant to amuse and not to provoke as evidenced
when two characters use a young child instead of a stick for poking at a
corpse. Those who are easily offended should avoid this film altogether.
Covering your eyes may keep you from seeing Morgana's angry and violent
urinations but that won't help with her jaw-droppingly foul mouth.
A party movie if there ever was one,
Carnage For The Destroyer is a good sick
time. There are enough decent kills, nutty characters, and freaky
simulated sex scenes to entertain fans of Troma films and the like. Even
though The Destroyer looks like a Leatherface audition reject gone
berserk, it's hard not to love a character who screams "Boogety boogety
boogety" before ripping his victims apart. The actors have a great
chemistry and it’s obvious that the film was fun to make. The rivalry
between Teen Ape and The Choach borders on brilliance. As for the
Teen Ape sex scene… No comment.
DVD Specs:
The Carnage For The Destroyer
DVD looks and sounds great. The full frame presentation is crystal clear
and I never had to strain to hear what the actors were saying. Bonus. There are tons of extras on this disc
including director commentary, cast commentary, a behind the scenes feature,
cast rehearsals, the very bizarre “Epic Metal” commercial, and trailers.
I’m surprised there’s no drinking game feature on this DVD. That would be
pretty hot.
