The Necro Files
Directed By Matt Jaissle
Released: 1997
Starring: Isaac Cooper, Steve Sheppard, and Gary Browning
Running Time: 72 minutes

Logan (Isaac Cooper) is a serial cannibal rapist whose time has finally come. Detectives Sloane (Gary Browning) and Manners (Steve Sheppard) catch up to Logan but the arrest goes south when Manners receives a blow to the head, goes mad, and then shoots Logan dead on the spot. The case is closed until 9 months later when a group of Satanists casts a spell, sacrifices a baby (the product of one of Logan's rapes), and wakes Logan from the grave. Unfortunately, Logan is even worse in his undead form and his rampage of rape, murder, and flesh-eating continues. It's up to Detective Sloane and the increasingly psychotic Manners to put Logan to rest yet again. Oh yeah, and there’s a flying zombie baby.

Wow, this is one unrepentant and nasty little gore flick. The Necro Files could be accused of many things but being boring is not one of them. The crew behind this monstrosity tries too hard but in the best way possible. The production values are miniscule, the acting is terrible, and the plot is almost nonexistent but I seriously doubt that viewers seeking out The Necro Files will give a damn.

When I say the acting is "terrible" I really mean "terribly awesome". Everyone on the set must have been given the direction to go bigger and more over the top. Hats off to Steve Sheppard for his drug addled and rageaholic character, Detective Manners. The guy is about to blow a gasket in nearly every scene.

Fake penises (there's more than one, folks), a baby doll sacrifice, zombie rape scenes, and cannibal nipple vomiting are just a few reasons for gorefiends to catch this one. This film is obviously an homage to the most notorious gore films ever made and owes its very existence to Dead Alive and Erotic Nights of the Living Dead. Avoid the sequel which is basically a more pornographic version of the original (unless that appeals to you, duder). The Necro Files is dumb gore-filled misogynistic (there are female actresses in the film but no female characters, pathetic) garbage that must be seen to be believed.
