A group of vacationers in the Caribbean take a tour bus through one of the nearby islands. After witnessing a voodoo ritual, the couples start getting murdered one by one. The survivors retreat to a seemingly abandoned house on the island and prepare to make a last stand against their mysterious attackers. They soon discover that there is much more going on than they suspected.

I take some solace in the fact that John T. Carter never directed another film again. Thanks to him Zombie Island Massacre is a complete waste of time and is barely a horror movie (thanks to the lame plot twist). By the way, there is only one zombie in the entire film. One.

What you’re getting is a long shower scene with Playboy Playmate Rita Jenrette, a halfway decent bludgeoning, a lousy beheading, a kooky old man, a lot of drama club acting, and a bunch of bland murder scenes. The gore scenes are amateurish and the plot is too complex for its own good. Definitely skip this one. If you want to watch a terrible zombie film that at least delivers the goods, watch Hell of the Living Dead or Zombie 4: After Death.
