Happy birthday? Yes, indeed. March 1st, 2005: my strange and disturbing infatuation with horror movies exited my body violently and splatterily and spilled out onto the internet. It has been three dang years and Doomed Moviethon is still going strong. For the entire month of March, I plan on delivering all kinds of newness for the celebration. Be on the lookout for new articles, features, and a butt-load of new reviews. I give my thanks to you, dear reader. I hope that this site continues to be a good resource for your bizarre entertainment needs and I hope to keep bringing you more good stuff here at the DM. Oh yeah, the new stickers are in, so email me for a free one!

A new year is upon us and we're approaching the 3 year anniversary of Doomed Moviethon. Geez, that doesn't seem very long. Only three years, wtf? Anyway, Giallo Meltdown is finally done. It is three part insanity, yes it is. I'm still planning the next Moviethon so Lord knows what it will be exactly. I will keep y'all posted on that action. Oh 2008, what freaky shit do you have in store for us, Moviethoners? I'm getting pretty psyched. My new year's resolution is to get my movie reviewing ass out of Europe and come on back home to the good old United States for a while. That's a promise. Okay, time to go. Thank you to everyone who reads this site.

 'Sup gang?

Moviethons! Moviethons! Moviethons! I want you to drop what you're doing and go read Argentophobia. It is the tale of me, my wife, and some friends watching 13 Dario Argento films. As soon as I was done with this Moviethon, I just had to make my dream Moviethon a reality. That's right, Giallo Meltdown has finally come to pass. We watched 20 Giallos in a row from Friday night until Sunday night (yes I took time to sleep!) with one bonus Giallo the following Monday morning. It was complete madness and well, I'm already planning Giallo Meltdown 2. You know, the site is called Doomed Moviethon, it's about time I started havin' some friggin' Moviethons! Bye for now.

Hey folks!

I'm back with some more updates. First up is Fauxrror's first review. Shrub over at Goblinhaus had some really awesome things to say about our first album. GLOAT! The next item of business is a little something I call Argentophobia. Yours truly, my wife, and some friends spend two days watching 13 Dario Argento films in a row. Madness, drunkenness, and sleeplessness ensued. The very long document of this event is still in the works but is a-comin' soon.

Last but not least, I must give a few shout-outs to awesome sites. First up: KINDERTRAUMA. If you're childhood is haunted by books, toys, and movies that frightened, tormented, or just plain ruined you then this site is a must. Let the healing and/or the hurting begin.

Finally, I have to direct your attention to Giallo Fever. Keith Brown of the UK delves into the world of the Italian genre film. With screenshots aplenty and really fantastic writing, Keith analyzes the Giallo, Italian gothic horror, the Poliziotto, and other assorted film genres. This is a fascinating blog and a great resource for film buffs.

That is all for now. There's more good stuff to come. Thanks for stopping by.

'Sup, y'all.

I hope you all had a safe and fun Halloween (or some other pagan event). Anyway (that's one), I'm here to announce that Fauxrror is finally complete. The totally real music for completely fake horror films is all done and ready for listening ears. Free? Is it free? Oh, yes it is. Please download the very first (and hopefully not last) album of Fauxrror. The links (any one of them will do):

And don't forget the sweet, sweet Myspace page:

I would love feedback on this little project. Nafa, Zac, and I are pretty much pregnant with desire for your opinion. Pretty nasty, huh? Anyway (that's two), thanks for stopping by. I can only promise and promise and promise that there will be more awesomeness from Doomed Moviethon in the near future. See you around.

Hello again, dear friends,

October is all up in our grill and I am here with more news on FAUXRROR: A Collection of Soundtracks for Horror Films That Never Were. Nafa, Zac, and I are very, very close to the end of this bizarre musical experiment. The final product will be 24+ tracks of terrifying soundscapes and horrifying melodies. As soon as it is done, I will have it available for download totally free on the site. Rock!

The newest DVD review at DM is Paolo Cavara's Giallo, Plot Of Fear. I strongly suggest that you read it. In the spirit of the season, I have been writing some Halloween-themed entries in the old Doomed Movieblog. I strongly suggest that you read those too. I ALSO strongly suggest that you stick with the DM for more good stuff that will be coming soon. Talk to you later.

Hey duders (AKA ladies and gentlemen),

I've got a number of things in the works here at the old Moviethon. Of particular interest is a music project. Nafa, my bandmate from The Ladies Of Death Row Swimsuit Calendar, another friend of ours named Zac, and myself are working on an album of horror music soundtrack pieces. None of these films exist but we are creating poster art and even a plot synopsis for each song. I'm not even sure what we're calling the project but the goal is to get it done before this Halloween. I am so friggin' psyched about this one so I promise to keep y'all posted. I'm also cooking up another article as well as yet another moviethon documentariethon along the lines of My European Vacation. Word up.

Tonight's review is Amuck! AKA Alla Ricerca Del Piacere. I've had this one on my shelf for a while and I decided to give it a go for reviewing purposes. And wow, what do you know? I'm glad I did. It frightens me just how far behind I am on the movie reviews. Yes, even I have some self-imposed deadlines and it is pretty sad that I watch them fly right on by. So yeah, enough chit chat, I gotta get back to work here, dang it. Thanks for stopping by and keep checking in on the place.
